In the past year, Mike Tucker has performed at the Aspen Jazz Festival; The Phoenix Jazz Festival in Kobe, Japan; and The Kennedy Center in Washington, DC. In April, Mike led his Quartet in a concert series in San Jose, Costa Rica called "Emerging Artists of the 21st century." He has also appeared in concert with George Duke, Dennis Chambers, and Russell Ferrante and Marcus Baylor of the Yellow Jackets.

Mike just finished a recording produced by Pat Metheny and Gary Burton which included two of his own compositions. This summer Mike and his Quartet will be performing at the JVC Jazz Festival in NYC, and the Cape Cod Jazz Fest.

A semi-finalist in the Thelonious Monk International Jazz Saxophone Competition, Mike Tucker is quickly gaining the respect of the Boston and New York jazz communities, drawing audiences of all ages. He leads a quartet of some of the finest young jazz musicians in Boston, who have collectively performed at venues worldwide.
