Michel Reis Trio
Jazz Pianist and Composer Michel Reis released his first album as
a leader for WPR (Waltzing-Parke Records) in 2005, featuring Michael
Oien on the bass and Dennis Frehse on drums. As a sideman, Michel
appeared on the album "Fables of Lost Time", released by
the band Largo for Warner Jazz UK; and on the CD "Stop Requested",
with the Alex Terrier Quartet. Michel Reis performed extensively
in throughout Europe, USA and Japan, with his own Trio, the Nir Naaman
Quartet, the Alex Terrier Quartet, High Groovin', Gast Waltzing and
Largo, Didier Lockwood and the Orchestre Philharmonique du Luxembourg,
as well in duo an solo settings.
Michel was awarded the 4th place at the First Moscow Competition
for Jazz Perfomers (Piano) in 2005, and in 2006, he won the 2nd price
at the Montreux Jazz Solo Piano Competition.

Medici Musica and Ryles present an evening of Brazilian Jazz with
2-time Latin Grammy nominee Jovino Santos Neto and his Quartet, featuring:

performing music from Jovino's CD "Alma do Nordeste" (Adventure
Music).
A master pianist, composer, arranger, flutist, and player of a
multitude of other instruments including the melodica and the accordion,
Jovino Santos Neto is one of the top Brazilian musicians working
today. Currently based in Seattle, Washington, Jovino Santos Neto
has throughout his career been closely affiliated with the Brazilian
master Hermeto Pascoal. He was an integral part of Pascoal's group
from 1977-1992 where he fine tuned his artistry and co-produced several
legendary records during that time. His relationship with Hermeto
Pascoal continues as his mentor figures prominently in his recent
recordings. Jovino has been nominated twice for a Latin Grammy Award
for best Latin Jazz Album, in 2004 and 2006. Jovino has received
commissions by the IAJE and ASCAP, Jack Straw Foundation, Seattle
Arts Commission, Artist Trust and Meet the Composer. He was the recipient
of a Golden Ear Award as the Best Jazz Instrumentalist of the Pacific
Northwest in 2004.

in 2008 in Brazil and in the US. It features some of the best musicians
in Brazil and once again solidifies Jovino's reputation as one of
the most creative composers and musicians in activity today.

Esthema's music is a fusion of sounds from

of the Eastern European/Balkan and Near/Middle Eastern regions are

of Esthema bring together both Western and Eastern instruments to

Boston's Ryles Jazz Club
Rising international star Alexandre Grooves will be making a stop
at Boston's renowned Ryles Jazz Club Wednesday, March 25th
to participate in their weekly World Wednesday Concert Series during
his North American Tour. Grooves, multi-instrumentalist and singer
for the eponymous band, will be accompanied by both Brazilian and
American musicians and will be performing as the headlining act.
Grooves brings a refreshing angle to traditional Brazilian Popular

Enjoy an early evening of Salsa music, dance, and food in the company of friends and friends to be made. Take in a Salsa and Merengue lesson at 6. Enjoy our Ryles Dinner Buffet* starting at 7pm. Dance to the best Salsa, Merengue, and Cha Cha music from 7pm to 11pm. Admission is $10 and includes lesson and dance.

Come and join us to experience a new Latin Night, Noche Latina Tuesdays @ Ryles.
Noche Latina Dance Company with DJ Ali and special DJ guests will keep you
dancing all night. Here you will find a friendly and safe atmosphere, great
dancing music and most importantly a fun evening to spend with your friends
dancing Salsa.
Salsa Lessons
- Beginner/Adv Beginner 7pm - 8:15 pm
- Free Introductory Lesson: 8:15pm- 8:30pm (Bachata, Merengue, cha cha, swing)
- Advanced Intermediate: 8:30pm- 9:30pm
- Salsa dancing from *** 9:30pm - 1am ***
- $13/lesson (college students w/ ID pay $11/lesson)
- $10 per person after 9:30pm for dancing.
