'TarBone is a project featuring guitarist/vocalist Mike Duke and trombonist Dan Fox. The infectious grooves of New Orleans are the backbone of the band with covers of artists such as the Meters and Earl King, with a trombone and sax front line reminiscent of the Crusaders. The mix includes original jazz, funk and blues. Rounding out the band are some of Boston's top-shelf players including Bill Vint on sax, Barry Lit on drums, Jesse Williams on bass, and Steve Heck on keys. Their new CD, Live at Ryles, will be available at this show.

RENATO MALAVASI - Originally from Brazil, Renato has been performing with some of the most unique musicians in the New England area since 1999. Alongside these artists, whether in an instrumental project or accompanying a singer, a wide variety of Jazz, Latin Jazz, Afro-Cuban, and Brazilian styles are constantly on display. A graduate of the Berklee College of Music, Renato performed extensively throughout Brazil before coming to Boston. Renato has also performed with well known Brazilian singers Carlos Navas and Tete Espindola. Born in Brazil, violinist and composer Andrei Matorin has collaborated with musical masters and emerging artists such as Paquito D'Rivera, Tiger Okoshi, Bob Moses, Christian Scott, and Claudio Roditi among other. As a composer and performer, his influences span from traditional Brazilian music, to R&B and Soul, to Jazz and Classical music. His debut album, was celebrated by critics and musicians alike. Having recorded it almost four years ago, he is currently preparing for his next musical journey, Opus 2, which he will soon be recording in the studio.

Having recently been featured at the Lincoln Center with Paquito D'Rivera, New York based Matorin will be coming to Ryles with his band and a set of brand new compositions.
